Talk about the show!

For 32-year-old Betty, being overweight had been a struggle all her life. Early bad eating habits led to her packing on the pounds, which she says held her back from enjoying things like the prom, dating, and even simply buying clothes off the rack. But when Betty reached 270 pounds and the protective bar on an amusement park ride wouldn't fit over her, the desperate woman knew it was time to face her problem. "It was just a humiliating experience," Betty admits, "That really was one of the turning points for me, just knowing that I didn't want to live my life like that."

From that moment on, Betty joined a local Weight Watchers program and became part of the Lose For Good campaign. For every pound its members lost, Weight Watchers donated the equivalent of one pound of food to organizations like Share Our Strength and Action Against Hunger. Over the course of the campaign, a million dollars was raised, and Weight Watchers members lost 4 milllion pounds -- 99 of which came from a slimmer Betty. "I definitely do feel like a new person now," she says. "I'm able to be the person that I've always wanted to be ... the person that I've always been on the inside."
