Hi!
Tommorrow night I want to try a new recipe and I would like to try pasta. I found on the website "lasagna stoup" did anyone tried it?
Do you have any suggestion for me? There are so many on the website!!

BLT spaghetti. Ever since she made it sometime last year I make it at least once a week. The Nov. everyday magazine had a BLT mac & cheese that is also to die for.

She also has one called weeknight spaghetti and meatballs which is easy and delicious it's kind of my go to when I'm in a hurry and want a spaghetti night, meatballs fry up in one pan and the sauce gets added right in the pan comes out great, she has many others too, I have not made one I didn't like. Happy cooking!

If you can handle the tears, there is a recipe called "That's Shallotta Flavor Spaghetti" It's really simple. It's like 10 good size shallots, a box of whole wheat spaghetti, garlic, parm reggiano & parsley. It's super easy and super yummo! The recipe is on page 29 in her "Big Orange Book" cookbook.

i haven't tried this one. But I have made Paula Dean's Taste's Like Lasagna Soup. I haven't looked at Rachael'e recipe so I don't know if they are similiar. But I do love the one that Paula did. So I am sure Rachael's recipe will be great.

I just went out and checked Rachael's recipe and it is not similiar to Paula's. But in my honest opinion, I think it would taste great. Because it is basically lasagna all mixed up.

I am thinking I need to try this one.

The Christmas pasta is fantastic. So full of flavor. I haven't made it in a couple of years but I am going to make it again this month for sure. Thanks for reminding me of it.

Out of all of her pasta recipes (and, so many are great), my favorite Rach pasta is her Carbonara. And, it's better than frozen, that's for darn sure...

SamanthaLee
I hope it's better than frozen. LOL. I've never heard of a frozen carbonara. It must be awful.

Oh, it IS awful. Lean Cuisine... bleh. They were on sale, a dollar a box--- I found out WHY they were only a dollar...

Ew, that's just nasty.

I have to second the Shalotta Flavor pasta. I was a skeptic but made it anyway and it was awesome.

I just suggested this on another site, but here goes again. You can make it with either shrimp or chicken, but the shrimp is SO MUCH better:

Saute 1 large, chopped onion & 2 cloves garlic (minced/chopped or grated) in EVOO (about 2 turns around the pan - more if needed)
Add 1 cup Vodka (any brand) Boil down (don't worry, the alcohol will burn off)
Add 1 cup chicken stock - boil down
Add 1 15oz. can tomatoes (crushed or diced - we prefer diced).
Heat thoroughly.
Add 1/2 cup Heavy cream - heat
Add 1lb. cleaned shrimp (or chopped chicken if using). Cook until meat is completely cooked.
Cover with chopped basil & grated parmasan cheese.
Serve over pasta - any kind (we like fettuccine)

You can "play" with this recipe once you try it. Add-in's can be chopped peppers (any color), peas or veggie of choice.

Hope you try it & like it as much as we do.
