Where can I buy?

Neeppeen
I really think I'd like to have one of those garbage bowls. What a good idea! I always have a mess on the counter and it would be nice to get a garbage bowl. I wonder if there's such a thing as a disposable garbage bowl?

daheyer
I too, want a garbage bowl, but since money is in low supply, I use (recycle) my gallon milk jugs, or 2 liter pop bottles, just cut off the top with scissors and you have you own bowl, free.

Neeppeen
I guess you just throw those away? I always recycle those things. I'm alla bout the green.

You can find Garbage Bowls on-line and not just at FN's site. But don't settle for second best, make sure you get a Rachael Ray Garbage Bowl. Those others are just cheap imitations. Rachael's Garbage Bowls are so attractive and versatile. You can use them for mixing meatloaf, tossing salads, or serving wings or popcorn! And you can replace that unsightly, unsanitary mess you have on your counter with a clean and tasteful Garbage Bowl that probably matches your kitchen decor. I have 12 of them, now! But they aren't for sale :-))

manbutter
I used to leave my little messes on the counter to hang around for somebody else to clean up. I'm like, I'm not cleaning that! Then I was given a GB by a member of the family who was most offended by my little messes. Now, I don't mind cleaning up after myself!!!

You can buy just any bowl at most stores (Wal-Mart, K-mart, etc.). It's JUST a garbage bowl!! If you must have the one that Rachael uses, go for it. But with money being tight, just use any old bowl. I actually, grab my garbage bin, pull it over where I'm cutting, etc. & just throw right in - saves one extra step. Just depends how your kitchen is set up. I'm sorry, but spending MUCHO bucks on a bowl just for garbage just doesn't sit right with me. But, whatever, go for it if you wish.

Gosh...I was sooooo lucky. My mom and I stopped by the local Goodwill store and they had not one, but three for sale. THe orange one was still in the box and I bought it for $1.95. THe other two wer in good condition but one that has a small crack on the side, but I figure I'll use that one for a GB. They wer 95 cents a piece. I was so excited I couldn't believe it...who would be dumb enough to give up a Rachel Ray Garbage Bowl. I think I might even be sneeky enough to give the one in the box to my best friend for Christmas. She loooves Rachael so much. Does anyone think that makes me sound cheap? I figure during these hard times, we do the best we can.

melon_baller
Ajwain you are sooo lucky! can I have the addresof that Goodwill?? thats like finding a treasure for almost free but if you decide to give the one thats nib to your friend maybe give her somethink else too like maybe a rachael ray recipe book cause how will you feel if that person gives you something that costed say $20 and you only gave her a rachael ray garbage bowl that was only $1.95. i'm just sayin because of good and bad karma you know.

If you happen to put one on eBay, let me know! I'm sure I could use more than one.

I really like *her* stuff. I never thought of using a regular bowl. Isn't that unsanitary to use a regular bowl as a bowl and a garbage bowl?

gooeycake
LOL - not if you wash it ;) Seriously, though, there's no need for a special garbage bowl, despite what tush or melon_baller says. I use any old bowl and then run it through the dishwasher with the rest of the dishes. Love your avatar!

SCore for ajwain! That's awesome. One of the members mentioned they come in pink, too? I want one, but money is really tight. So, our family is making a list of things we want for Christmas. It has to something useful and nothing just for looks or anything like that. I have Rachael Ray's Garbage Bowl---pink. I want that the most so far. I'm sure how much they cost. That's a really clever idea to put all the trash in one place and keep counters clean. Espicially if you have a tiny kitchen. Im finding out more and more how clever Rachael is. She should write a book on clever ideas and easy tips for cooking and keeping the kitchen neat and clean. I'll start saving now for the book.

when ever you reuse something, that is recycling!

I didn't know that. I thought when you (I mean you and me) lol resused something it was suppose to stop Global warming or something like that.

I would definetely buy a book of ideas from Rachael. She has so many of them I can't even keep count. Like how she says to poke the yokes in eggs so they will mix better and that trick she shows us how to break off the stalk of asparugus so that all of them will be the same size. My favorate is when she puts drained cooked potatoes back into the pot on the stove so that they are easier to mash.

Super_Stouper
I totaly agree. What better person than Rachael Ray to write a book about kitchen short cuts and double duty items and things like that. to save time and space. She's perfect! How does she come up with soooooo many ideas. She's really smart, too. She must have thousands morewriten down. I learn a lot from her and she makes my day happy.

tuschmaniac
Ha! I must admit I sometimes get lumps on my head from smacking myself everytime Rachael Ray comes up with another idea that saves us time and effort. When she writes that book of her ideas (the sooner the better!) one entire chapter could be devoted to lemons alone. Sqeeze them cut-side up, microwave them for 10 seconds to release all the juices, zest just the lemon-colored part and not the white, et cetera.

Super_Stouper, I sure hope Santa brings you that Rachael Ray Garbage Bowl (if you have been super nice this year :-). And if he's out of pink, maybe you will learn to love it anyway.

Neeppeen
I left Santa a note here too. You can add it to your Amazon wish list! Rach has so many good products out right now. I think I'll start with the garbage bowl and move up to the moppine. I am redoing my kitchen eventually in orange colors! I should take pictures of some of my efforts at her recipes, but not sure where to post them out here.

Thank you Cindi! With that RR avatar, does that mean you work here or can anyone use that?

I broke down and bought the GB a couple years ago, even after I vowed as much as I love RR and her products, there was no sense in buying a GB! LOL...but it does come in handy. I use it more in the pantry. I put a lot of my baking ingredients in the bowl and it clears up shelf space. Like opened bags of confectioner sugar, flour, cornmeal, etc. And when I get down to 1 or 2 packets of something, such as hot cocoa mix or powder drink packes, I throw them in the bowl too so I can throw away the boxes and free up space. Not that you can't do that with a regular bowl but RR makes it fun to cook so it's nice to have some of the items she uses. And to the person with 12 of her GB's...you go! LOL! I ain't mad at ya, but where do you store them?? I have like, no room as it is.

mighty_boosh
